On May 6, 2025, an online event was held by the APU Sports Law Committee on the topic:

“Legal Protection of Football Players: How Contracts, Transfers, and Trade Unions Work.”

The event was moderated by Yevhenii Proms’kyi, Chair of the APU Sports Law Committee. Together with Hanna Hnizdovska, they set a professional and dynamic tone for the discussion.

The event was attended by lawyers, club representatives, trade union activists, and football players. The discussion covered:

• The role of trade unions in negotiations and protecting players’ rights;

• Common mistakes in contract drafting;

• Gender inequality in football;

• Guarantees for players in case of injuries, dismissals, or unpaid wages.
