On August 2, a jet ski crashed into an inflatable mattress on which a 32-year-old woman was riding on a lake in Bezlyudivka. The victim was taken to the hospital, but her life could not be saved.
Lawyer Roman Chumak commented on the incident, drawing attention to the legal aspects of using watercraft. According to him, only persons over 18 years of age with appropriate training and a boatman's certificate can drive jet skis. Violation of these rules is punishable by a fine of 25 to 50 tax-free minimum incomes, and repeated violations are more severe.
The investigation of such cases is carried out similarly to road accidents: a scheme of the incident is drawn up, a protocol is drawn up, eyewitness testimony is recorded, and the guilty are determined.
