The Ares Law Firm traditionally supported the holding of a solemn event dedicated to the Day of Law in 2025.

Roman Chumak, Managing Partner of the Ares Law Firm, addressed the participants of the event with welcoming words.

Roman Chumak noted that the energetic combination of spirituality and law that took place on this day was a unique experience for him. He called on lawyers to reflect on their own responsibility to society and the state on their professional holiday.

In Sofia Kyivska, the Ukrainian Bar Association gathered lawyers, representatives of the authorities, clergy, international partners and students to jointly celebrate the beginning of a new legal year - a year that is designed to establish justice as the basis of statehood and Ukraine's European path.

In his speech, the President of the Ukrainian Bar Association Mykola Stetsenko called on the community to remain a moral guide for society: "True justice exists only when the law protects, heals and restores."

The keynote speech was delivered by Asier Santillan Luzuriaga, representative of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, who emphasized that the rule of law is the foundation of European integration and the shared responsibility of all legal institutions.

The event also honored the memory of colleagues who died in the war, and presented Denys Bugay’s initiative “The Book of Remembrance of Lawyers”, which will collect the stories of lawyers who gave their lives for Ukraine.

This year, the UBA Honorary Award “For Honor and Professional Dignity” was received by Andriy Romanchuk, a serviceman of the 13th brigade of the Charter National Military University and founder of MORIS — for honesty, dedication to the profession and service to the country.

The UBA Best Young Lawyer Award laureates — Daryna Artimovets, Vladyslav Ignatko, and Anastasia Pozhar, who are confidently shaping the future of the profession, were also recognized.
