On October 11, 2025, the Sports Law Forum was held, organized by the League of Students of the Ukrainian Bar Association.
Yevhenii Promsky, lawyer of the ARES Law Company and Chairman of the Sports Law Committee of the Ukrainian Bar Association, moderated the panel discussion “The Role of a Lawyer in Sports, or What Happens Behind the Scenes”.
During the discussion, the participants talked about what shapes the modern legal ecosystem of sports:
- Oleksiy Vagin, Deputy Chairman of the Youth Council under the Ministry of Youth and Sports - about the peculiarities of administrative and legal regulation of the sphere of sports in Ukraine in the context of European integration;
- Dmytro Borovlev, lawyer of the Department of Disciplinary and Regulatory Work, - member of the Ethics and Fair Play Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association - about the bodies implementing football justice;
- Andriy Davydenko, Chairman of the Ethics and Fair Play Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association, and Anastasia Bilenko, Secretary of the Ethics and Fair Play Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association — about integrity in football, fair play and ethics
The discussion showed that the role of a lawyer in sports goes far beyond contractual or judicial work — it is about developing a culture of fair play, transparency and trust in the sports environment.
